Ventriloquism: Characters using this skill can make others believe that sounds and voices
are coming from somewhere else. Such a character must pass a proficiency check to
deceive an audience. This roll might be modified by some of these factors: the
intelligence of the listeners (+/–3); the distance from the ventriloquist to
the apparent source of the sound (not more than 20 feet); the believability of
the ventriloquist’s words and sounds; whether the audience can observe the
proficient character; and the length of the ventriloquism display.
