Casting Spells in Other Planes
As described on page 132 of the Dungeon Master's Guide, the AD&D® game world consists of many planes of existence aside from the
familiar Prime Material plane. Just as physical laws operate differently in these
planes, so do the effects of magic and the ways in which spells are cast.
General guidelines for using wizardly magic in the various planes are given below.
